Welcome to AcuPT Clinic, located in Asheville, North Carolina. Here, we specialize in the evaluation and treatment of various orthopedic injuries such as neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, foot and ankle disorders. We use a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and acupuncture for the relief of pain, treatment of orthopedic injuries, and preventative care.  

AcuPT Clinic takes a patient- first approach, providing patients with a more private, personalized theraputic experience that larger clinics cannot offer. We go out of our way to help our patients achieve their goals. 

Brian Moran, DPT, L.Ac 

Dr. Brian Moran has been working in orthopedic physical therapy since 2000 and as an acupuncturist since 2005. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Findlay and his diploma of Acupuncture from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine.  His interest in the healing arts stems from being involved in martial arts since childhood. His martial arts instructors were all acupuncturists and he underwent a traditional apprenticeship in Chinese Medicine while in Graduate School in Oregon. After becoming an acupuncturist he taught Acupuncture Energetics and Clinical Skills at Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine for 6 years. He has also taught TaiJiQuan, Qi Gong and Kung Fu since 1988 as owner of Smoky Mountain Kung Fu.  During his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family and dogs in the outdoors, both hiking and biking.
