Continuing Education Courses
AcuPT Clinic offers numerous Continuing Education Courses for physical therapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and other health care practitioners throughout the year. Courses are taught by Brian Moran who has extensive experience as a teacher and presenter. He has 6 years of experience teaching Acupuncture Energetics and Clinical Skills at Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine. In addition, he has taught Tai Ji Quan, Qi Gong and Kung Fu since 1988 as owner of Smoky Mountain Kung Fu and as a Physical Therapist in outpatient settings. He began teaching Contining Education Courses approved by NCCAOM and NCBTMB in North Carolina in 2010. Basic Orthopedic Assessment and Treatment with Manual Techniques: Spine (16CEs)
This course will introduce participants to basic orthopedic assessments and tests of the spine and the treatment plans using manual techniques. This two day course provides each participant with hands-on, practical clinical training in integrative evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of injuries and disorders of the spine. This course is aimed towards massage therapists and acupuncturists.
This course is approved by both the NCCAOM and the NCBTMB.

Tui Na: Basics of Musculoskeletal Treatments (8CEs)
This course will introduce participants to basic methods and theory of Tui Na Chinese Medical Manual Therapies. This one day course will be mainly hands on and upon completion of this class, the participant will develop Tui Na skills and be able to implement these skills in their practice. This course is aimed towards massage therapists and acupuncturists.
